A long twisty way home

I took a long contemplative bike ride home today after work. In one week I'll be off to Atlanta, Ga for a good part of the summer. The West Side Waterfront bike path is one of my favorite place to bike anywhere. The river, and across the river trees and condos. To call it New Jersey kills the effect somehow, but brings enormous calm, this ride. It's no the most direct way home but the extra 15-20 minutes are always worth it, essentially in the evening when the sun goes down in the west. The light is beautiful.

I'm basically zen navigating the entire way. When I feel I'm about straight cross-town from the Williamsburg bridge I just cut over and cross the island. There really isn't a route, it's random every-time. So it's really cool to see my little path from the map view.
As I biked across the Williamsburg bridge, which is like climbing a mountain, my heart-rate really when up. I rested on top, and so did my heart. And then for the coast down my heart was racing again. You can see it in the bike highs in my heart-rate image....
