Forest Projects was one of the most crime-ridden housing projects in the Bronx and the home of Fat Joe. It was memorialized in the lyrics of his song Envy:

Fat Joe is just one of many names for Joseph Antonio Cartagena, along with Joey Crack, Bronx Terra, Fat Joe Da Gangsta, Boogie Down Bronxster, Coca, Don Cartegena, and Joe Crack The Don.
