Starting in the spring of 1993, Bulk and Naval started to experiment with different objects that were made to "go", or move in quirky unexpected ways.


This led to ...
the use of simple machinery, such as turntables, small electric motors, transistor radios, etc.
These initial experiments were enacted upon a small house cat suffering from depression and acid-reflux.
The rhythms of light and sound created a soothing effect on the animal; its attention was
transfixed by the moving devices.
Careful notes were kept on the behavior of the cat in relation to changes in speed, color,
and sound of the objects.
