Larissa Harris is Associate Director of the Center for Advanced Visual Studies in the School of Architecture and Planning at MIT. After five years in the production and curatorial departments at New York's P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, she spent a year as associate editor for US reviews at Artforum International magazine. CAVS, a platform for contemporary artists as they explore and redefine their role in society, organizes visits, screenings, and talks to introduce young artists to the MIT community / Greater Boston and vice versa with an eye to commissioning longer residencies and projects in the future.
