Aaron Ximm is a San Francisco-based field recodist and sound artist. His Quiet American project focuses on field recordings made during his travels. Aaron also curates the Field Effects concert series at his warehouse in San Francisco, which focuses on found sound, field recordings, and the loverlier, quieter side of sound art -- presented in a uniquely comfortable environment.

Abinadi Meza is a sound artist based in Minneapolis, USA. His work has recently appeared in the Biennale of Electronic Art, Perth; sRc Radio, Stockholm; La Casa Encendida, Madrid; and Radio Kinesonus, Tokyo.

Recordings made at a Soviet-era 32meter dish antenna in Irbene, Latvia by Derek Holzer, Marko Peljhan and Project Atol. Formerly used to spy on satellite transmissions between Europe and North America by the KGB, the antenna was abandoned and nearly destroyed when the Russians departed in 1994. The dish is currently under repair for civilan use as one of the top 5 most precise radiotelescopes in the world.

Adam lives by the Hawkesbury River in NSW, and compiles feild recordings fieldwork on radio 2SER.

An intellectual pioneer as much as anything else, Akira Rabelais issued forth musical creations and inventions from his perch at CalArts. Born and raised in South Texas, one of his childhood pastimes involved shooting metal plates with bb guns so that he could experience the unique sound that it caused. That fascination with sound, combined with a philosophical and literary bent (his favorite surreal and magical realist snippets of literature are on his website, www.akirarabelais.com) helped lay the path for the musical creations he has been issuing since 1990 -- he describes himself as a "composer writing software, not an engineer making music." The software that Rabelais made reference to in that quote, or at least the most famous among his inventions was the Arge

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Musician and begginer on
field/environmental recordings. Started to record sounds in Japan,
most of them in Takefu city, Fukui Prefecture, Chubu region in
middle of Japan's main island. The new ones were recorded in Brazil, as I came back to my homeland.
