An adaptation of the Grimm’s Fairy Tale (by the Brothers Grimm) about a young man who doesn’t understand the concept “to shudder in fear” and who goes forth in the world to discover its meaning. The tale can be read in a number of ways, linearly or non-linearly. An “audience response” button allows the viewer to add his/her own response to specific scenarios.


1996 Requirements: This site makes extensive use of frames and gif89 animations. It is best viewed in Netscape 2.0+ You’ll also want the Crescendo plug-in or similar Netscape MIDI player.

All of The Grimm Tale works in contemporary browsers except for the “Audience Response” feature.
