Live Stage: Frozen Music - Sleepless Night [us Miami]

frozen.jpgFrozen Music presents Awning by Rene Barge, David Dunn, and Gustavo Matamoros as part of Sleepless Night :: November 15-16, 2011; 6:00 pm - 2:00 am :: Artcenter, South Florida’s Facade, 800 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach :: Free (always).

For Sleepless Night, the Listening Gallery will feature the world-premiere of Awning alongside of their live performance of Plaza, with guest sound artist Russell Frehling, only a block away at the civic plaza, on the corner of 17th Street and Meridian Avenue. The live performance will begin at 6:00 p.m. and continue uninterrupted until 2:00 a.m.

And in December, stay tuned when SFCA’s Listening Gallery will open full blast during Art Basel with a new multichannel sound piece by Miami sound artist Russell Frehling and with Face2Face, a dual screen lab for the exploration of synchronized video created by Charles Reche.

Listening Gallery is the brainchild of sound artist Gustavo Matamoros and is operated by SFCA [isaw + subtropics.org]
the leading proponent of experimental music and sound art in the Southeast.
