radiussmall.jpegRadius will broadcast Episode 07: Foradius by Sturgen — César Rodrigues and David Arantes, a duo from Portugal. Their music explores a vast amount of sonic rhythmics where a techno-trance universe is combined with a constant noise attitude.

Foradius is a work created specifically for broadcast on Radius. The two members of Sturqen worked independently of each other using Portuguese radio transmissions as source material. The fragmented radio clips were then digitally processed and joined together to create the 18-minute composition.

Radius will transmit Foradius for three consecutive days coinciding with the U.S. Labor Day weekend on May 28-30 at 2pm CST.

Radius is an experimental radio broadcast platform based in Chicago, IL, USA. The goal is to support work that engages the tonal and public spaces of the electromagnetic spectrum. Radius features a new project semi-monthly with statements by artists who use radio as a primary element in their work. Radius provides artists with live and experimental formats in radio programming.

Radius is administered by Jeff Kolar.
