A Sound Image by Juergen Staack will be broadcast approximately on every 30 minutes during the radio program!

The sound-files are descriptions of images that were destroyed after they were transcribed. The descriptions are in different languages (Amharic, Akan-Twi, Sorbic, Catalan, Chinese, Hindu, Japanese, Thai, Estonian, German, …) The most abstract description is in Ainu (7 native speakers left). The descriptions are between 30 seconds and 2 minutes, and there are about 30 different Images/ Description/ Languages.

The idea is to have An Radio-Exhibition worldwide, descriptions of non-existing images will be broadcasted in the normal program randomly during one day. Different Radio-Stations in different countries (Japan, Croatia, Germany, Lithuania, US, Israel, South-Africa, Macedonia…) will be streaming the works during the day.

The magazine Schwarzweiss-drei will publish the overpainted pictures in their magazine. Parallel to this, the artist prints invitation-cards for the radio exhibition, inviting the people to switch on the radio. The magazine will be published in December, 2009.
