Extremo Fluctus is an immesive soundscape, surrounding the visitors, generated by a multi-channel sound installation. Various materials are used and mixed to obtain a specific acoustic environment, including voices, ambient recordings and electronic sounds. Mermaids are evoked as a genetic drama, a realized depiction of the universal desire of coming back to water. The importance of oral and sound culture is also highighted, because of its being a crucial media in past, present and future society.
Born in Rimini, composer/performer, director & artist, Roberto Paci Dalò studied Visual Arts and Music in Ravenna and Fiesole and was awarded the Berlin DAAD Fellowship (1993). He lives and works in Rimini with long residencies in Berlin and Vancouver.
