c(2)ipo-06 (cybernetic intelligent parasitic object)–by Kostas Daflos–is a musical cooperative organism with a structure related to the neurological system. It is activated by human presence and it communicates with the environment via a sensor. Its internal environment consists of an additional ten contact sensors which supply the system with responses (interrupting and re-establishing endless routes of information). These contacts transform the results of the impromptu sound effects obtained from the environment into a multitude of random sound frequencies.
The kinetic systems of the four motors correspond to the counterbalancing rejections of the mechanical movements, which disengage the impromptu responses of random duration and outcome of the organism. C(2) ipo_06 behaves as a regulated machine of decision making, which waves impromptu between the (binary) optical responses of a blue and red light directed towards the human presence (constructing randomly assumptions that correspond to two genders).
c(2)ipo _06 is a machine-organism inspired by a) Gordon Pask’s theory of discourse between man machines and learning machines; and b) Norbert Wiener’s theory of control and communication of machines. Two automated units communicate in a two-way ad hoc /impromptu base of communication.
