Live Stage: The Sound Source - Electromania [uk London]

spnm.jpgThe Sound Source - Electromania: A Night of Sonic Explorations :: Stale Birkeland, drummer; Thomas Gardner, cello/interactive electronics; and Owen Green, electronics :: Thursday 19th April 2007, 8pm :: Institute of Contemporary Arts, The Mall, London, SW1Y 5AH :: £8 (£7 spnm and ICA members) :: 020 7930 3647.

This Thursday, spnm’s The Sound Source, the UK’s new experimental music night, comes to the ICA after a season entertaining club audiences at Cargo, Shoreditch. For the first event in the 2007 series, Ian Stewart and Ambrose Seddon curate an event featuring the UK’s next generation of sonic explorers. In a multimedia extravaganza, the bar and theatre will be filled with experimental films, performance DJs, live music for instruments and interactive electronics, and multichannel sonic artworks. The programme will include Pierre Alexandre Tremblay’s ‘La Rage’, Thomas Gardner’s ‘Lipsync’ and Owen Green’s ‘Untitled’ (improvisation for objects and interactive electronics).
