During recent years the term re-enactment and the practices it refers to have enjoyed increasing success in the artistic context. On one hand, the success of re-enactment appears to be connected to a parallel, vigorous return to performance art, both as a genre practiced by the new generations, and as an artistic practice with its own historicization. The T-time with Lara Schnitger: August 31; 12.30 pm :: Museum Het Domein, Postbus 230, 6130 AE Sittard, The Netherlands.

Dance witches Dance plunges the public and sculptures in Het Domein into a trance and sets them dancing. This is the first time that Lara Schnitger (1969, Haarlem) has worked in close collaboration with performance group My Barbarian. The group, and Schnitger, are based in Los Angeles. In an installation, a film and texts, the characters in the songs literally acquire a physical presence and Schnitger’s sculptures evolve their own quirky personalities. Continue reading

The DreamLoading project, created by Rafael Beznos, consists in a set of researches, installations and interactive interfaces integrating multiple technological media, artists and collaborators from all around the world, uniting music, video projections, fine arts, architecture, graphite, interactive programming, 2D and 3D animation and digital art in the creation of multimedia experiences, among them interactive samplers of audiovisual for touch-screen or tabletop surfaces (projection over an interactive film on glass or acrylic), interactive art and video exhibition with related animation. SwanQuake

swanquake.jpgSwanQuake is a unique project involving the ongoing making of an interactive artwork comprising 3-D computer graphic environments and motion-capture driven characters created from a variety of materials and methods by an interdisciplinary team gathered together and led by Igloo.

In each of the pieces, using a game controller, the viewer navigates freely throughout the 3D computer graphic environments. The spaces are comprised of both exterior and interior landscapes, each thematically, visually & sonically distinct where users can interact with avatars to create new performances / performance spaces.
