We Ping Good Things To Life is an ever evolving and expanding interactive networked installation that brings together elements of Toy Theater, Vaudeville performance, Surrealism, and consumer culture. Users can activate dozens of store-bought, found, and donated objects to create a unique performance, alone or with others, via the live streaming video feed.

for the time being explores the sound of movement in a 30-minute premiere of a new stage work inspired by the Russian Futurist opera Victory over the Sun (1913) and its fantastical visual designs. Nearly a hundred years ago, the Futurists collaborated on an eccentric vision of a society to come, based on revolutionary fervor of the time. The DAP-Lab’s choreosonic performance, both comic and unsettling in places, is an intimate piece that looks at our current precarious existence in a world full of outworn clichés of revolutions. New Day New Standard is a public art project and interactive hotline that informs nannies, housekeepers, eldercaregivers, and their employers about the landmark Domestic Workers’ Bill of Rights, passed in New York State in November 2010.

Built on an open source framework, New Day New Standard is a hybrid application that combines regular touchtone phones, Internet-based telephony, and performance art to create an interactive Spanish/ English know-your-rights audio campaign for domestic workers and their employers in New York State.

But this is no drab and dry reading of the law. When you call the New Day New Standard hotline number, you hear what sounds like a radio talk show, ‘hosted’ by Christine Lewis, a real nanny in New York whose charisma as a social justice organizer landed her a guest spot on The Colbert Report.
