Jo, thanks for posting this. As someone who is a TA for a course on this topic this semester and who uses some of these technologies in my own work, I find it to be a potentially useful technology. But of course there is little mention in the video (and in the course I TA for) of whether or not we actually _need_ or _want_ all of this data. If, perhaps, we are thus asking the wrong question.
And, sadly, there are of course no women on-screen, no women developers, no people of color, _except_ as users of technology (phones). The only woman’s voice comes from the director. Not to be essentialist, but it would seem that perhaps this lack is structuring the conversation more than people want to admit…
