Re-creation of Without Sun :: Call for Dancer and Actor.

Without Sun is a collection of found performance documentation from the internet which creates a 15 minute pseudo-narrative focused on the exterior surface of the “projection of self” into visionary worlds. Named after the classic Chris Marker video Sans Soliel, the work combines footage of several individuals on a psychedelic substance.

Performers will re-create Without Sun at Machine Project. Auditions will take place on June 7th in the evening. Include in your email your phone number, an image if you have one, and brief description of your performance history and/or training.

During the week we will schedule together 1 or 2 informal walk-through rehearsals, 1 filmed rehearsal, and then a final public performance on June 13th in the evening. We are offering a small stipend of 250$ each. The performance is also scheduled for the Time Based Arts Festival at the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art on September 6th, where travel and another stipend is offered.
