Mobiligence Workshop [it Rome]

Altroequipe presents WORKSHOPMOBILIGENCE :: November 25-27, 2008; 12:45 - 5:45 pm :: Auditorium delle Scuderie Aldobrandini Piazza Marconi 5, Frascati (Rome), Italy :: Deadline: November 15, 2008.

The WORKSHOPMOBILIGENCE is based on the interactive process between choreography / dance, sound, light, architecture, motion capture (VICON Real Time), motion graphics (3D animation with MAYA and LEMUR). The purpose is that of stimulating a formation which is able to react to the continuous mutation of the media project, live show, television, and cinema. The workshop introduces to the use of motion capture as interface able to inform the outside with the inside of the human body and of the performing bodies in general. In this sense we research the increase of the proprioceptive quality of the living body through the coexistence with the 3D mutation of the architecture and performer.

The process proceeds with the association of the NURBS concept to the corporeal scheme of the performer, defined as NURBOIDE. These digital curves are used in the 3D animation software, so the real body is situated in a virtual system, for instance the one used by the software Maya, rather than being contained in the traditional space of the anatomical scheme.

INNATE MOTILITY AND ARTIFICIAL MOBILITY. The space-time interaction generated by the mobility gains importance in the conformation of the body and in the generative possibilities of behaving “adaptively”, in real time, in reactive environments that are partly unknown.

MOBILIGENCE. Through the mobility the agent is able to produce different interactions with the environment and other agents. The interaction is obtained with the physical structure as happens for the multi-sensorial perception. The auto-organization, intentional and active, is generated between the body and the environment with the mutant mobility; the system is able to adapt to the environment in real time and develop intelligence.

INFO:

1. The WORKSHOPMOBILIGENCE is open to a limited number of participants (30 participants) and it is dedicated to University students and to all professional figures who work in the field of the performing arts, architecture, motion capture, and motion graphics.

2. At the end of the workshop every participant will receive a certificate of participation.

3. ALTROEQUIPE will provide support to the students who have attended the workshop and wish to get credits from their universities as provided by the regulations.

4. The costs for the participation are: 150 € for the university students, 250 € for the professional figures.

5. The applications to the WORKSHOPMOBILIGENCE will end on November 15th, 2008.

6. The WORKSHOPMOBILIGENCE will be documented with a video realized by ALTROEQUIPE.

Altroequipe is a multi-agent organism that distinguishes itself for the interaction generated by the mutual influence of its artistic and scientific components: dance, sound, light, architecture, motion capture, and motion graphics. The operative diversities produced in the multi-sensorial and multi-perceiving investigation of the generative system “artescienza” behave in order to be moldable and face unknown environments in their systems of generative efficiency, in an interactive dispersion, an agent into the other one.
